Wen Giving’s first AOP graduate making a difference

Marbalin Wanniang was among the first two candidates who received a full scholarship from Wen Giving Foundation for Vision Technician training at India’s premier eye institute LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Hyderabad, Telegana state, India.

Marbalin travelled halfway across India from her home in Meghalaya to take up this training opportunity which would provide her with nationally accredited training that would guarantee her a job and in turn help her support her parents and 5 siblings.

A competent Vision Technician, Marbalin is now back in Meghalaya working in a SPECS Vision Centre in Nongstoin, providing high quality primary eye care to her community.
