Lions Outback Vision

In a show of commitment to eye health care in Western Australia’s north-west, Wen Giving has donated a significant parcel of land in Broome to Lions Outback Vision to allow it to continue its important work in the region.

Wen Giving, supported by Hawaiian, has gifted the Kimberley Klub land and buildings in Broome to Lions Outback Vision in 2022, in a move that gives people in the region easy access to essential eye health care, without having to travel long distances or wait excessive time.

In Australia, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have more than three times the rate of blindness and 14 times the rates of vision loss due to Diabetes, than the rest of the population.

This new Kimberley hub, donated by Wen Giving, allows Lions – and the trailblazing work of Lions Eye ophthalmologist Dr Angus Turner – to take essential eye health care direct to people who need it most.
