Community Eye Hospitals
Community Eye Hospitals (between 18,000 – 25,000 sq ft) provide comprehensive eye care and surgical facilities to a population of approximately 500,000.
Allied Ophthalmic Personnel based at Vision Centres will refer patients to Community Eye Hospitals for services such as advanced diagnosis, medical and surgical treatments. These services focus primarily on the treatment of cataracts, refractive error, corneal conditions, glaucoma and retinal disorders.
Wen Giving Foundation has committed funding for the construction of Community Eye Hospitals in India, Bhutan and Australia.
