Wen Giving Foundation sponsors the development of a Community Eye Hospital in Ethiopia

Wen Giving Foundation has partnered with the Himalayan Cataract Project in Northern Ethiopia to develop a Community Eye Hospital.

Ethiopia has a population of 105 million people and one of the largest rates of blindness in the world at 1.6%.

The Bahir Dar Specialty Eye Care Center will operate under the HCP model with services guided by the key principles of affordability, sustainability, high quality, effectiveness, scalability and replicability.
